Can I join if I'm just building a project for fun?#

That's great! We welcome all types of projects, whether they're for personal or professional use. Just make sure to share your progress and learnings with the group.

What if I have a full-time job?#

Totally fine to step in and out as needed if you have work meetings or other commitments. Stay engaged and show up when you can, but there is no expectation to attend every single meeting.

Do I have to demo something?#

It's highly recommended but not required. You can also just come to build and learn from others.

Can I come to network?#

No. This meetup is for people who are actively building their own projects and plan to work on these projects during the meetup. This is not the place for "networking," "relationship building," or other generic value-extracting activities.

I'm a VC or recruiter without a project. Can I still join?#

No. We're focused on building a community of makers who are passionate about building things. This is not the place for fundraising or recruiting.

What should I bring?#

Bring your laptop, charger, and any snacks you might want.

What should I wear?#

Whatever you want! This is a casual meetup. Dress comfortably.

What time should I arrive? Can I come late?#

Arrive at least a few minutes before the meetup starts to find a seat as coworking spaces in NYC can get quite busy.

If you're running late, it's okay, just try not to interrupt others when you sit down. Remember that someone with their headphones on is likely trying to focus.
